i know this really sucks , i wish tv companies would pull there heads out of their ass and add DVI-D to their 3dtvs. it is as if there is some sick behind the scenes deal that sony and/ or microsoft paid off tv manufactures to not have dv-d so that people would be stuck with console 3d gaming or lowered quality 720p pc gaming.
@jiminhno You can only play 3D games at 720p if you want 60hz (per eye). This is a limitation of HDMI. There are a few LCD monitors that can do 1080p 3d at 60hz but they use Dual Link DVI or Display Port. No current TVs support Dual Link DVI or Display Port. (Though a lot of them will convert 60hz input into 120 or 240hz output, which is useless for 3d)
from the nVidia website: NOTE:When using 3DTV Play™ software to connect to a 3D TV, 3D Vision active shutter glasses are not used. Instead the 3D TV manufacturer’s 3D glasses are used
do you need nvidia glasses if you have a tv with 3d glasses?
$40 is dirt cheap. Its a non issue.
yeah…plasmas and pioneer.
Ah, so i see, they are artificially restricting wich tvs do they support in the nvidia drivers and try to sell it, yea cool.
Kind of what they do with PhysX and Ati cards, but in this case the option to buy it is not there.
Yes. to get 3dtv gaming on 3dtv you pay $39.99 extra
ehy dude could you (when you have it of course…) send me a mail or something how’d it go. i own a samsung 3d and plan on buying a geforce gpu for 3d with this package, currently ati
big nono my friend,
see, they would have to include the price with the
price for a GPU because developing and selling these drivers cost money.
That wouldn’t even be so awful if everyone who would buy a nvidia gpu
would have a 3dtv avaidble, this is just a case of making the fries cheaper by not including the ketchup cause not everyone likes ketchup on his fries
or just go to google and write “3dtv play support all tv ??”
go to nvidia website and write dow 3dtv play on search box.
where does it say that on nvidia’s site? ive checked a few times and they list a few supported 3dtvs saying the list is incomplete but I never heard any promises of all tv’s being supported. so am I.
Soooo are they saying that they are going to sell the 3D TV DRIVERS appart from the TV?
Its like they sell you a GPU and then tell you that if you want the DRIVERS you have to pay extra. Thats stealing with all its letters.
Does windows recognise the 120hz feature on these new 3D Plasmas and LCD ? so I can VSYNC at twice the rate as a 60hz TV.
nvidia website said every brand tv will support 3dtv play. unlike sony or samsung, panasonic 3d plasma dont support hdmi cable through computer. it seems like nvidia is helping panasonic to make it happend just like other brand tv. im anxiously waiting to hook it up on my samasung tv. 3d rocks!!!
im waiting on it too… and samsung’s tv better be supported.. if he says panasonic tv’s one more time.. im a……
So where the fuck is the software then, nvidia?
lmao… did he almost just call panasonic… pioneer
Hi i have a question… I’m thinking of buying an Asus G51J laptop but I’m split between the G51J-3D which has the better GPU Nvidia GTX 260m, 3D vision but has a 1366 x 768 ( WXGA ) display and the G51Jx-A1 which has an Nvidia GTS 360m GPU that runs on higher MHz but has lower specs no 3D but has 1,920×1,080 resolution… There may be an option to get the G51J-A1 with the Nvidia GTX 260m and 1,920×1,080 resolution but I cant make my mind about the 3d and low res or no 3d and high res…
