A little disaster seemed eminent when it is accidentally flown into the sun’s glare, tune in to see if a Bixler Plane Repair episode is in order. The Bixler Plane www.hobbyking.com

  5. estdenis1 says:

I agree. I had some flaps and it worked great. Almost a Kite.

    lolz..

  8. Timothy Richards says:

nah it should be fine but if its heating up after only a few seconds you might need to get a new esc :(

I’m at 2 months and won’t be getting parts to fix the shipping damage on my Bixler. The only recourse was to file a Paypal dispute (must be done within 45 days). When you do this, HK extorts you and refuses to help as long as a Paypal case is open. Paypal awarded me a full refund, but I have to ship the parcel back to China, which costs a bundle. It’s not my fault HK can’t deliver, and spending more money on this would be extremely foolish. I’m done with BIXLER and HK.

I ordered mine on the 5th of June. I’m still waiting. The price for delivery is very expensive. Ordered a Gee Bee from Tower Hobby on Monday, it was here yesterday, Wednesday. Never will I order from HK again. And you’re right, their 24/7 chat is off-line 24/7. At least I got my Blitz to play with, which was delivered in three days after ordering from BH.

I will recommend that it is not much of a problem but it is best to keep you electronics cool so I will recommend to see if you esc has a problem.

  12. SPIKEZshuffle says:

quick question: i just got a fpvraptor. testing the motor speed goes well, but the esc is warming up quickly. it has a 30amp esc and im worried that it will overheat while i maiden it. will it overheat or am i just too worried? it has good cooling throught a hole for the air to come in. any suggestions?

  13. warrantfan96 says:

I ordered mine almost two weeks ago and still haven’t got it. :( how long do orders generally take from the international warehouse with the air parcel shipping (cheapest shipping)

  14. Moeisabeast12 says:

yes, it is actually just a sky-surfer (i think thats what it is called) with a brushless motor and different decals, he “certified” it as a good beginner plane and since he has been so good with promoting hobbyking, they named a plane after him :)

  15. SwedenRCnut says:

Is this plane actually named after Josh?

  16. coolpics111 says:

yes it comes with a battery charger but i didn’t like it so i bought an better one!

  17. hunter32195 says:

does the RTF version come with a battery charger? if it does i might get one

  18. MrROTD says:

stick with horizon hobby efilight parkzone, hk is bad for customer service, my bro still cant get help for his defective plane, horizon isnt perfect but they at least have well designed good quality stuff. You can get a Champ for real cheap to learn 3 channel on they are really easy to fix or get an ultra micro su-26 or spitfire 4 channel and it wont be too expensive when you crash. Thats what I did I started on a prkzone UMS corsair and now I can fly fully aero planes easily.

  19. thejetdrvr says:

That sucks. I’m not writing them off just yet. But that doesn’t sound so great. I’m in need of a 5.8 tx/rx setup and I’ve seen good reviews of the one they have.

  20. cranrazzic says:

You’ll want to off yourself if you ever decide to deal with HK. My Bixler came with critical damage in the box, even though there was no external damage visible. Their phone goes to a machine, their 24/7 chat is always off-line, and they don’t attend to their email support center. Their customer service is a black hole. Once they have your money, which they get instantly I might add, the honeymoon is over. I’ve never seen anything like it.

  21. danboarder says:

quick tip: make sure you have the prop on the right way.

  22. thejetdrvr says:

HK should have a plane called the OOS. “Out Of Stock”. I have yet to place an order with HK and part of that is because of all – Out of Stock – I see on so many of their products. I love Flitetest though. Good videos.

  23. FireworkRCX says:

They say its an easy plane to fly… and i can’t fly it. :3

  24. cranrazzic says:

Josh Bixler, have you ever actually tried to order one of these planes from HK? Good luck! Having your name on this might not be the most positive career move.

  25. TheExtremeHobby says:

I got a bixler to. I loved it although i am a very nervous person so even when i had had some experience, i still got nervous when going to fly. is the anyway i can control my nerves. PPPPPLLLLLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSSEEEEEEEE HELP!!!!!!!!!
